 In order to control the battlefield, you send in the infantry. Enter the 83rd PVI !! These hard-fighting folks. Out-shoot and out-fight in order to preserve the Union. 

 One of the basic building blocks of a civil war-era line unit is marksmanship, which the 83rd hones to a fine edge through various forms of training and practice.

 In the heat and confusion of battle, effective leadership can mean the difference between victory and defeat. Candidates with the abilities and desire to lead are always welcome in the 83rd.
